18 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 18 weeks (7/14/11)

Size of baby: Baby McKnight is the size of a sweet potato (approximately 5.6 inches and 6.7 ounces)

What baby is up to this week: The baby is now flexing its arms and legs. Blood vessels are visible through the skin and its ears are in their final position.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 4 pounds of pregnancy weight and 9 pounds of fertility weight gain. A total of 14 pounds to lose so far.

Maternity Clothes: I can wear lots of my shirts still, but they are just really tight. I wear lots of dresses in this heat.

Gender:  We find out a week from today: July 21 at 3:30!!!

Movement: I felt  the first flutters on July 8, Neil's birthday. I feel them sporadically usually when I am sitting down.

Sleep: Sleeping is great. My back gets sore from sleeping on my side too much and I'm still waking up to use the bathroom. I actually feel like I could use more sleep than I'm getting. Baby is developing yawning and hiccuping skills and is developing its finger prints and toe prints.

What I miss: Not. A. Thing.

Cravings: Milk, coleslaw, and apples

So I just noticed I hadn't done a real baby update since week 11. Wow! What a slacker.
