Oh how I love weekends. Friday night we went to Chili's to eat with a gift card we had and then went to Target, my most favorite store. Because of the glorious 70 degree weather on Saturday, we wanted to do something outside. We decided to go up to our land in Clinton to shoot our guns and let the dogs run. I got a new revolver for Christmas and hadn't gotten to try it out yet. Unfortunately, we didn't realize our dogs would HATE the sound of gun shots. They both ran back to the truck and hid underneath so we didn't stay long. Instead, we stopped by Neil's grandparents house and had a nice visit. Then we took the dogs back home and went out to a homemade shooting place in Wooster. I don't go to shooting ranges, as this is where my dad decided to end his life. I've never been to one and never plan on going to one and Neil is very understanding. So we have to be creative if we want to shoot. We stopped by a friend's house on the way home and got to visit with them as well. Sunday we went to my mom and step-dad's house for a family lunch to celebrate my step-dad's new promotion. He has worked shift work his entire adult life (going between nights and days and working every other weekend on 12 hours shifts). Now, he gets to work a regular 8 hour DAY with no weekends or holidays! We are beyond excited for him. Below are some pictures of our shooting day.
Have a wonderful Tuesday.

I wish you would have said something to me! :) I would have loved to meet you in person! We always run into someone we know (usually my hubby knows) when we go out to eat and we were surprised to not know anyone Friday night. :)
i love the picture of neil getting the dogs from under the truck. poor pups. clint hunts squirrels with scout, and i remember for a long time he had to take it slow with the gunshots with her.
reading this cracked me up. i felt like maybe neil was blogging. but no. there you are in your skinny jeans, shooting a gun. adorable.
i want a gun. i think i'd feel safer by myself if i had a gun. (somewhere my father is screaming at me :)
