Post-Op Day 5

Day 5 Monday:

Woo Hoo!! Neil got his nose drainage tube out today. This is a milestone! His entire affect took a 180 degree turn. He was joking, rolling his eyes, and had his personality back. I am so thrilled! He got to eat 5 popsicles, although he was tired of them by the end of the day. I feel like I have my husband back and it is such a great feeling. His incision still hurts which is normal. He stayed the night by himself tonight. I'm still waiting to hear how that went. We still have no word on when he gets to come home, but hopefully it will be soon. They should start him on broth, jello, and clear liquids today (fingers crossed). All together, it was a great day and I hope there are much more to come.

In baby news, we now have 38 days to go!! As long as the baby stays put long enough to get Neil home, I'm ready for baby to come whenever he chooses. The nursery is just about ready. We just need to hang a few things and then get a rug, table, and lamp.
