1) We've been going through negotiations with someone interested in our house! It's 95% sold. Just gotta get those papers signed. Looks like we won't be moving until August because that's when the woman buying our house can move. Kinda disappointing, but it gives us time to look for a house without being rushed. Speaking of houses, we looked at one yesterday that we LOVE. yay!
2) It's been a wild ride at school lately. Lots of drama going on and NOT with just the students.
3) Neil passed the EPPP with a whooping score of 557! He only needed a 450 to pass at the Master's level and a 500 to pass at the psychologist level. He kicked that test's butt! He took this test to get another licensure that allows him to work outside of the school setting. This means that he can now contract out his services during the summer or on the weekends. This additional licensure is the one that I have (licensed psychological examiner). I'm so proud of him. Now he just has to take the oral examination on July 15.
4) It is Good Friday. My friend Lindsay described her feelings on this day and since she put it way better than I could, this is what she said: "To think that my God sent his only son to die for me is overwhelming. When I think of my Jesus suffering on the cross it breaks my heart. I am humbled and so thankful for His amazing love today." Thanks Lindsay for helping us to remember what this weekend is all about. Too often we place too much emphasis on the easter eggs and candy and not enough on the true meaning of the most significant event of the world.
5) I am loving the new Dr. Drew show on HLN. He is hitting on so many issues faced by our teenagers today. I'm watching right now about a girl who faked a pregnancy for a school project in order to determine the negativeness that a pregnant teenager girl goes through. He's also hit on cyberbullying, suicide related to bullying, autism, and addiction. These are issues that our children are going through every day and it breaks my heart. The more exposure we have to what is going on, the better we can respond when we see something going on. And we all need to step up our part in preventing these issues from tearing up our children. They are growing up too fast and experiencing too much negativity. Ok, I'm off my soapbox for now. ''
Happy easter weekend!
