The wheel of fertility turns slow. Very slow. I've been waiting approximately 8 days to have this surgery. Surprise Surprise, I have to wait longer.
My insurance company is not wanting to pay for the surgery. However, Dr. B's nurse said that this surgery is covered, the insurance company just doesn't want to pay. So the wonderful staff at Arkansas Fertility and Gynecology has been dealing with them to get them to pay up. I'm really not sure what the big deal is...they haven't paid for anything since the very beginning of treatment anyway. But I guess that is just how insurance companies are. I'm just so thankful that Dr. B's office is advocating for me and I don't have to call and do all the work. I count on small blessings during this treatment. Baby steps and all that.
So no surgery this week. Hopefully next week. I've been calling Dr. B's office every week day for about 5 days now because I was told I had a window of 7-10 days to have this surgery, but the birth control I started would help stretch that out a little. Today I was told that as long as I continue the birth control, they can do the surgery any time because they know I won't be pregnant. So we are HOPING on next week.
On a totally different note, school started last Thursday. I am now splitting my time between South Side and Shirley schools. Our primary therapist at Shirley had a baby in July and is taking 6 months off. How awesome is it that our company will let us take that much time off and still keep our job. I told her that she was paving the road for me for when I become pregnant.
Also, my cousin Sarah had her adorable little boy, Payne, on August 20. Mom and I drove up to see the little man on Sunday and I'm SO glad we did. He is the cutest little thing.
Sarah--I totally stole this off your blog. Hope you don't mind me showing off my handsome nephew a little. This is my most favorite picture of him.
Neil has started his new job and really likes it so far. He hasn't had much client contact yet, as his partner will not start until September 7th. He'll be working in Van Buren County (where South Side is located) a little, so I might get to see him occasionally. He'll be working with only preschool aged children and I work with kids K-12, so we won't have any clients in common. :(
Tomorrow night we are taking my step-dad Ty out to eat for his birthday. He'll be the big 4-0 on Wednesday, August 25. We're gonna eat at Bonefish Grill. I can't wait because it is SO good.
My week is busy and full, but I like it that way. Wednesday I have supervision (not much longer to go on that) and Thursday our psychiatrist, Dr. Hogan is coming to see some of our kids. I love that man. He is absolutely wonderful with both the kids and parents. He really tells it like it is...sometimes the parents don't like it, but he genuinely cares what happens to the kids and has their best interest at heart.
Have a wonderful week!
