It's about time for an update

Wow I haven't blogged since the last day of August. That's pretty sad. I would say that I PROMISE to do better, but I don't like to break promises. I'll try to update more often though. Nothing much has happened around the McKnight household lately.

Neil and I finally didn't have anything scheduled this weekend. Friday night we went and ate at Fish House, our favorite place for fried catfish. Yum. There was an elderly couple plus one elderly man sitting at the table next to us. One of the old men leaned over to Neil and said, "Young man, tell me how you've come to eat with all of us old folks." I hadn't realized until he said that and I looked around, but yes, Neil and I were probably one of the youngest couples in the restaurant. Neil simply said, "Sir, this place has the best food around." Later Neil was very excited that the man had called him "young man" because he had been told earlier in the day that he looked 40. Yikes! After that, we went to my fav-o-rite place, Target. Then on to Hastings to rent movies. Neil's big into scary movies around Halloween. We watched Dawn of the Living Dead. Gross. It's about people-eating zombies.

Saturday I was supposed to do Race for the Cure. Late Friday night I started feeling bad and running a slight fever so I decided not to chance it and didn't run. Sorry girls. Good thing though because that morning I still had a fever. So Neil and I watched the last half of Season 3 of Dexter. LOVE that show. By the time the Hogs game started, I was free and clear of fever. WOW that game. I'm so proud of those Hog boys. The refs screwed us out of an upset. That's all I'm gonna say.

After the game, we took the truck over to Neil's mom's house. She's moving to Conway so we loaded up a bunch of stuff to help her take it to the storage building. Then Neil and I, Karen, and Annie (neil's sister) went to eat at Shorty Smalls. It was nice to see them.

This morning, I forgot to set the alarm for church. Oops. So we got up and went to Kroger. We're very excited because Neil's mom gave us her old freezer to put in the garage. Now we can buy stuff on sale and it won't clog up the freezer in the kitchen. I'm so excited. I've even made a list of everything we are putting in the garage freezer and taped it to the top. That way, we always know what is in there. Man I love lists.

I hope you all have a nice, safe week ahead of you.
