Randomness

Neil went back to the knee doctor today. He will be having surgery on his right knee on November 19th. Not sure what time yet. He has to go in again on the 18th and they'll give him more info. I'm pretty sure that is just another way of milking more money out of us! His appointment today lasted about 10 minutes. Don't you just hate that?

I am amazed by the power of prayer! My church has been praying for a little boy who has cancer. He needed a lung transplant. Maybe for both lungs. Can't remember. Anyway, he is doing well and...he will be on Extreme Home Makeover this Sunday. He got a new house! The family lives in Bigelow...tune in to see it! By the way, that show always makes me cry. Always. Prayer can do amazing things. If you don't do it now, I highly suggest that you do. Not only does it increase your relationship with God, but it brings an incredible sense of strength and purpose to life. Please pray for Anne Pressly, the KATV anchorwoman found beaten in her bed yesterday morning.

I REALLY enjoy my job. It's stressful, engaging, entertaining, sad, angering, strengthening, challenging, fun, and humbling. I love my kids, even the difficult one. Yes, I call them my kiddos. I don't take it lightly that these kids and their families look to me for advice, support, comfort, a friend. I am truly humbled by what I do.

That leads into a thought about being humble. I write letters to incarcerated women through a project called Beacon Community. I wrote a woman for several months and she was recently released. I got to meet her earlier this month. She is so inspirational to me. Yeah, that may sound strange, being that she was in prison and all. But her spirit, attitude, relationship with God, and how she has truly changed inspires me to become a better person. Thank you Donna for that!

That is all for now. I am REALLY tired. It is time to get in bed and watch Nancy Grace. I'm addicted! Have a good day/night!
